The company collaborated research programs with the MIRL (Mechanical Industry Research Laboratory) of ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute) to develop “Worm and Worm Gear Reducer” for elevators. In the same year, the company purchased Swiss Reishauer “CNC Gear Grinder” and Japanese Kashifuji “CNC Fully Automatic Gear Hobbing Machine.”

The company purchased German-made, large “Gear Grinder,” “CNC Gear Measuring Center,” and “Worm Gear Set Double-Flank Contact Rolling Testing Machine.” In the same year, the company collaborated research programs with the MIRL of ITRI to develop “CNC Index Table.”
The capital investment of “Shin-Shin Enterprise Co., Ltd.” increased to US$5,500,000. The company started to manufacture “CNC Index Table.”
The company received the “ISO 9002 Quality Assurance Accreditation.”
